A Photographer’s Photographer

Probably the number one question I’ve been asked since we announced our engagement is “So, who’s going to photograph your wedding?”  There’s just something about a photographer needing a photographer that makes everyone want to know how we decided and who we picked.  It really wasn’t a hard decision, and David pretty much let me have the say on this since it’s my “area of expertise.”

First, I have to say that I have some of the most talented friends.  Ever.  There’s a small group of us photographers that have grown pretty close over the last couple of years and I truly consider these girls like my sisters.   We even joked one day at our monthly lunch that they should all “tag-team” my wedding.  One photograph pre-ceremony, one photograph ceremomy, reception, family pictures, etc.  And while we were joking in good fun, I always had a pretty good idea who would photograph my wedding when that day came around.

So it was a pretty easy decision after we got engaged to book my good friend Katie of KATIE LAMB PHOTOGRAPHY.  F’real y’all.  Her work is amazing and I’m so lucky to have her photograph our wedding.  We are taking our engagement pictures next week (weather permitting) and while I’m a little nervous to be on the other side of the camera, I’m also starting to get pretty excited about them!! Hopefully the weather cooperates next week and I’ll have a preview to share!

  1. Kasey – I’ve lurked on Katie’s site ever since you told me about her a long time ago. You’re gonna have beautiful pictures and you have a leg up since you’ve been on the other side of the camera. Can’t wait for a peek.
