There are lots of things to do in and around the Houston area. Here are some of our favorites!
Galveston, Texas
A two hour drive south of The Woodlands, Galveston Island offers local flair and shopping along the strand and a breezy atmosphere for a walk along the seawall. The new addition of PleasurePier offers lots of fun and entertainment for the young and old alike!

Kemah Boardwalk
Twenty miles south of Houston, Kemah Boardwalk has several waterfront restaurants to enjoy as well as amusement rides, local shopping and seaside shows.
Houston Zoo
The Houston Zoo is located in Hermann Park adjacent to the Texas Medical Center and the Museum District and is somewhere we went during our first few months of dating.
Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory
Located in Brenham about an hour and a half west of The Woodlands, the Blue Bell Factory offers tours daily Monday-Friday (We actually haven’t been able to visit the Blue Bell Factory yet, but it’s on our bucket list! If you go, give us some feedback about your experience!).
