After our time in Destin, we took a drive north to Maggie Valley. We’ve been to Maggie Valley before and loved it so much we were eager to go back. The mountains are my happy place and the cabin we rented in Maggie Valley was perfect.
One of my favorite parts about the cabin we stayed in was the outdoor hot tub. It was such a nice way to relax in the evening and we definitely took advantage of it every evening we were in Maggie Valley.
We spent a lot of time in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We were able to do some hikes this time as well as some sightseeing by car.
We spent one afternoon driving to Cade’s Cove where we were told we had the best chance of seeing black bears. It was a bit of a drive but worth it. We saw several black bears on this trip.
The Mountains are always my favorite place and I was sad to leave after our time here.
