How have you been spending your Covid stay-at-home time? If you know anything about me now, it’s that I can’t sit still for too long. While I am still working behind the scenes at KLP, we’ve had to slow down quite a bit due to the Covid-19 restrictions. To keep me busy and help take my mind off all of that….we’ve been doing small projects around the house. (We laid new sod in our backyard and I made some planter boxes to grow some herbs and peppers (let’s keep our fingers crossed I can keep them alive 🤞🏻).
Anyway, that brings me to our laundry room. I have always disliked how small and boring our laundry room is. Obviously, I can’t do anything about the size of it, but I wanted to attempt to make it look more pleasing. I decided to give our laundry room a little refresh by repainting it, building a long shelf above the washer and dryer, and built storage space between the two machines.
I was determined not to spend more money than I needed on this small laundry room makeover, so I pieced together leftover pieces of wood we had in the garage for the storage space between the washer and dryer, and I just love how it ended up turning out! Everyone has such cute laundry rooms, but our space is just too small to get fancy with the design. 🤷🏼♀️ Doing this allowed me to get rid of a few things we stored in the room and at least it feels bigger now.
