We ended up going to a beach at the Grand Caymans. The beach had really good reviews, but we were a bit disappointed that when we arrived there was a ton of seaweed along the beach. I had read a lot of reviews about this excursion and not one of them mentioned all the seaweed so we guessed it was a seasonal thing. Later on, we ended up talking to another couple who had been to that beach about six months prior and they confirmed that when they were there the first time there wasn’t any seaweed, so they were surprised by the amount of seaweed as well. Oh well. Even though there was seaweed, the water was SO clear! I wish we had beaches like this in Galveston.
