Just sharing some details of the ceremony site. (All photos by Katie Lamb Photography)
On the way out to the ceremony location, I had a table which displayed some engagement photos of us, a welcome sign and some programs which doubled as fans (although the weather turned out to be amazing and there really wasn’t a need for fans).
You can also see our sand ceremony piece in the grouping below. A few fun facts about this sand ceremony: 1. I bought this off etsy, and although I loved it, the size of the funnel and hole for the sand to go through ended up being way to small to pour the sand through. David and I felt like we were up there forever because it was taking so long to funnel through. We ended up actually not finishing it during the ceremony because it was taking too long. 2. I had gotten two different colors of sand (a tan color and a white color) for this. Somehow, the same colored sand was poured into both of our glass containers so when we did the sand ceremony it was all the same. Not a huge deal, because like I said before, we didn’t get to finish during the ceremony. When we got home, we actually poured all of the sand out and redid our sand ceremony at home with both colors of sand. (Hopefully that’s not bad luck…haha!) Anyway, it’s correctly finished now and sitting on our mantle. I still love to look at it and remember this story.
Below is our lemonade stand. As a nice gesture for our guests (and just in case it was hot) I wanted some lemonade to greet them as they walked to the ceremony site to sip on while they waited. See the pennant banners decorating this? You might recognize the fabric from THIS preview. Anyway, I’m not sure if this was a hit or not as I wasn’t out there to see guests arrive or not. Hopefully they enjoyed it. 🙂
