While planning our wedding and browsing the internet for things wedding related, I happened to come across a hair accessory that I fell in love with and thought would go beautifully with my dress (which, by the way, is suppose to arrive in two weeks….Ekkkk!). The place where I found the hair accessories wanted $150+ for them which I thought was ridiculous and no matter how much I loved them I refused to pay that price tag. A girl has to pick and choose where she’s going to spend her money when planning a wedding. Things can add up very quickly if you’re not careful.
So I turned to Etsy. Remember when I blogged about Etsy + Pinterest HERE? Not only was I able to get my save the dates, invitations and some wedding decor ordered through Etsy, but I also found a lady located in Canada who does work very similar to what I had found for my hair accessory. I sent her a picture and placed a custom order for less than a third of the cost from the original website. I wasn’t sure how the final product would turn out, but even if it didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted I was okay with the amount I spent.
Well, I received them today and they turned out beautifully! I can’t wait to wear these come October 23rd, and I’m even happier about it knowing I didn’t shovel out the extravagant price tag for them that I originally found them for. Win-win!
